Balconagar: Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO), a unit of Vedanta Aluminium, continues to set a strong benchmark in industrial safety. By combining mandatory safety inductions, practical engagement activities, and community outreach, the company remains steadfast in its mission to achieve Zero Harm across its operations.
Over the past five years, BALCO has successfully inducted and trained more than 27,000 individuals, including employees, business partners, and visitors. In the financial year FY26 alone, the workforce completed over 2.30 lakh man-hours of rigorous safety training, embedding safety deeply into daily operational behaviors.

Safety Steward: A program empowering shop-floor safety champions to act as direct ambassadors for secure work practices.
Targeted Outreach (Suraksha Pahal & Suraksha Jyoti): Specialized programs dedicated to promoting road safety awareness and strengthening leadership capabilities among supervisors.
Direct Engagement Platforms: Initiatives like Suraksha Prahari and Suraksha Chaupal that enable senior management to interact directly with supervisors to address safety concerns.
